Plot Summary
Footballers' Wives  centres around the fictional 'Earls Park Football Club' (nicknamed 'Sparks'). The Series was produced by Liz Lake, Claire Phillips and Cameron Roach. Its Executive Producer was Brian Park. The show began as an ensemble of three different 'types' of football couple. However, from the third series on, the show more or less revolved around the character Tanya Turner (Zoe Lucker). Lucker left the series halfway through Series Four, though returned midway through the next series. However, by this time the series ratings had fallen significantly, and the series was cancelled in 2006.

This review will essentially be the same as the Season 1 review. This is one of the best finds for those who like campy and fun shows with dark comedy. It's a little difficult to understand some of the dialogue though if you're not used to watching British TV. They use alot of slang, but there's a Slang Dictionary on the DVD.

Footballer's wives is so full of drama, you can't leave the room for 1 minute! It's funny how looking back, some of the plots are absolutely crazy - but while watching it, it seem realistic! Great escape TV. And you can't beat dramas with accents! =)
